The PermePolis project aims to develop a methodology for building strategies for soil desealing in urban areas. The identified research question is the following: how to associate, in a framework co-constructed with the stakeholders, the relevant technical, legal and social information, in order to converge towards an efficient strategy for the desealing of soils in urbanized territories? The starting hypotheses are that efficiency results from a balance between the constraints and benefits of desealing, as well as from taking into account contradictory aspects and uncertainties. In terms of constraints and benefits, the project puts special emphasis on soil pollution and on the reduction of floods and of urban heat islands.
